Patch with waterproofing sealant is a concrete patching compound that has been modified with a waterproofing agent to prevent any water absorption once the patch is cured.

Surface Preparation

Surface must be structurally sound, clean, free of oily materials, sealing compounds, loose and deteriorated concrete.

Mixing

Caution....MS Waterproofed Patch will require more care than regular MS-Patch when mixing.  This is due to the waterproofing agent that has been added to the Patch.  A 50-lb pail of patch will require 5 to 6 quarts of water.

Mixing Procedure

Place water into mixing container.  Gradually add the patch powder.  Mix thoroughly. Stop...and let the mix set for a couple of minutes.  Then mix again to proper placing consistency.

To insure proper bonding, substrate should be roughened and sponge-dampened with water prior to applying patch.  For surfaces less than 3/4"in depth, mix patch using 3 parts water and 1 part MS-Acrylic Bonding Agent.  Hairline cracks should be chipped out, allowing a sufficient area for patch to key in and bond.

IMPORTANT:  Dampen the substrate before applying the patch.  This will prevent the substrate from sucking the water out of the patch before hydration can begin.  Failure to dampen the substrate can reduce the bond and cause hairline cracking.  Do not retemper or add any other material.

Yield

50 lbs will yield approximately .5 cubic feet (864 cubic inches).

Safety Precautions

This product contains Portland cements. It is alkaline on contact with water.  Use a paddle for mixing to avoid splashing into eyes or contact with skin.  During mixing or application, avoid contact with eyes.  In case of such contact, flood yes repeatedly with water and call physician.  Wash thoroughly after handling and before smoking or eating. Do not take internally.

Warranty

This product conforms to current applicable specifications and is manufactured to meet published physical properties when properly cured and tested according to ASTM standards.  Since seller has no control over the conditions of use or storage of the product sold, seller can not guarantee the results obtained through the use of its products.  The buyer shall determine the suitability of the product for its own purpose.  Seller shall in no event be liable for consequential (including loss of profits) or punitive damages.  Seller's liability hereunder, if any, shall be limited to replacement of goods sold.  This warranty is in lieu of any and all other warranties, expressed or implied.
