MS-PATCH is a fast setting cement-based patching compound that requires only potable water for mixing.  It achieves initial set within 8 to 12 minutes and final set in 20 minutes.  After initial set, MS-Patch may be shaved to conform to the shape of the surface to which it is applied.  MS-Patch will provide excellent flexural and bond strengths.  MS-Patch is available in setting times of 5 to 10 minutes.

Uses

MS-Patch may be used for patching on overhead surfaces, horizontal and vertical surfaces, above or below grade without forming.  It is used for repair and restoration of precast concrete panels, concrete pipe, castings, beams, curbs, concrete walls, bridges, driveways and sidewalks.

Composition

MS-Patch is a specially blended formulation of Portland cements, fine aggregates and select chemical additives.

Surface Preparation

Substrates must be free of loose or deteriorated concrete, dirt and other substrates, which might interfere with proper application.

Application

Concrete or masonry surfaces should be predampened to insure proper bond.  MS-Patch will require approximately 5 quarts of water per 50 lb bag or pail. It is mixed by adding the dry mixture to the proper amount of clean water as indicated.  A rotary mixer is preferable for mixing large amounts of material.  Mix no more than can be placed in 10 minutes.  Do not mix for more than one minute.  MS-Patch should be mixed to a stiff, no slump, putty-like consistency. Do not retemper.  Once mixed, slightly overfill the area to be patched.  After initial set, the patch may be shaved to conform tot the shape of the applied surface.  Use standard curing practices to cure the patch.

Limitations

MS-Patch must not be applied to asphalt or freezing surfaces.  Do not apply when temperatures are 32 degrees F or below.  Low temperatures retard setting times.  Water reducing agents, retarders or air entraining additives are not recommended.

Warranty

This product conforms to current applicable specifications and is manufactured to meet published physical properties when properly cured and tested according to ASTM standards.  Since seller has no control over the conditions of use or storage of the product sold, seller can not guarantee the results obtained through the use of its products.  The buyer shall determine the suitability of the product for its own purpose.  Seller shall in no event be liable for consequential (including loss of profits) or punitive damages.  Seller's liability hereunder, if any, shall be limited to replacement of goods sold.  This warranty is in lieu of any and all other warranties, expressed or implied.
